Can you resell software on ebay, even if you have installed it once on your own computer?

I am presently selling some software that I have installed once, but never used, so I figured I might as well get rid of it. I have a ebayer telling me that after its activated three times on computers, that its no longer usable. Does this make any sense? Im wondering if I should just pull the auction, b/c I certainly don't want someone to buy something of mine if they are suspicious or concerned. Just looking for thoughts or opinions.

  1. with adobe branded products, if the product has been registered you need to request for transfer of license. (not applicable for Education version) Activation is not a problem. Just have your ebayer call customer service to verify the license
  2. yes you can. You just need to abide by the software agreement and if you sell it or transfer it you must include the software and all keys and uninstall it on what ever PC you originally installed it on.
  3. I have never heard of the 3 times deal. Microsoft Windows XP is only supposed to be 25 times on the same computer. I found that out cause I do a lot of monkeying around with my computer and reinstalled quite a few times. After so many times I had to start calling in to Microsoft Activation Center to activate my copy of XP. Itunes lets you authorize up to 5 computers but even after that you can reset it!! I guess it could depend on what software it is though, some manufacturers may have some type of limit on how many times something can be activated on the same computer.
