Auction Sniper...& Ebay?

Never used anything like this before, really want a particular item on ebay that finishes today, and so that i wont miss the last bids I thought i'd try auctionsniper.com....Is it reliable?! What is best lead time to put in? I set it to 4 seconds, can I trust that it will put my bid in?!

  1. It's only as reliable if you're the only one with a sniper if someone else is using one to it's still a lottery
  2. I know ebay now have bid assistant that you can set up via ebay so they will bid for you up to your maximum bid.
  3. no! doesn't always work
  4. Yes, it's reliable and safe, doesn't always guarantee you'll get the item as someone might have a faster sniper or is willing to bid more.
  5. They are very reliable unless you are bidding against a bunch of others using the same software.
  6. No, you should have put your max bid on when the item first was listed, ebay will always take the earliest listed bid. A lot of people think that if they wait till the last minute and then put on their first bid, they will win, this is not always true, when it comes down to the wire, the computer will take the one that was put in first even if you both have the same high bid amount.
  7. That isn't how eBay is suppossed to work. EBay uses proxy bidding. The price the winner pays is actaully the second highest bid. What you need to do for eBay is put in the most you are willing to pay for something and then let it ride. Sure you can get something for cheaper sometimes, but more than likly if someone is going to snipe you then you are not ment to have it anyway. It is the best way and the way it is supposed to be done.
