Open a PHP Auction Site - What Software To Use?
I'm interested in starting an online auction website, with functions similar to eBay. I need to be able to change all aspects of it like layout/design. I don't want to have to display the creators web address or show any association with another website. Basically I want a auction that appears as if I created it, preferably for a one-time fee. So far I have seen www.phpauction.com/xl.php that looks pretty good. If you have any advice on a good program please tell me. I would build it myself except I'm not too confident in my abilities to prevent security holes in database code. Thanks. Auction site will be aimed at the online gaming crowd which will be fairly small, so a MySQL database will be just fine.

- I think you are right not to go with scripting from scratch.
