Any suggestions for my ebay auctions?!!?

I sell various items on ebay and have a steady amount of sales but want to increase them - I mainly sell ebooks and sat nav software for mobile phones (which is really popular and really cool as it's totally free to run and has most of the features of a tomtom!) but how can i improve my auctions? my username is TechJust4u (if you go to ebay.co.uk then the community tab and then put my username in the 'search for a user' bit then you'll be able to see my auctions and give me some feedback! thanks!

  1. well cheap advertising like u have just done will help
  2. lol @ "a m" - your humour is not lost on me :) personally i think there's a very limited market for items like that, because everyone on ebay is at it - ebooks and software i mean. because ebay is absolutely saturated to death with all that stuff it's impossible to stand out from the crowd unless you can provide items that other sellers can't. so unless you can do that, you'll have to make do with your current sales i would have thought... ...so get on the internet and expand your repertoire.
  3. I always sell at about 8 ish on weekends. On weekdays its either 4.30 for people just waiting to get out of their offices or about 9 ish. I find that this helps quite a lot. I think its a matter of how many people you can attract and how you manage to keep them interested when then visit you page. Your pages seem ok, I guess its the times you start the auction
  4. I never buy off seller who advertise 'Buy it now' as I feel that i might get a better deal from someone else. When I sold a few motorbikes a while back, I was advised not to set a reserve price either (a bit risky I know) but in the end I got a higher price than my competitors! Get auctions to end when people are arpound the most. Dont end an auction at 4.58 in the morning - there will be no one watching! Try 10.30? - Folks will be trying to get to bed and if they are on a promise, they might just bid a bit higher to feel a bit more pleasure!??? Good Luck and don't get shouting at me if my sugggestions do not work! ;-)
  5. Do not use stock photos, it puts buyers off too much text in blocks spread the pictures throughout, break it up a little change the font around and the colours - the green does not stand out enough .
  6. open an ebay store or build your own website-or both and link the two of them together
