- i dont think you want software that bids automatically for you what if the purse ends up being like 600 bucks?
- Nope I used to do what the othe person is doing to you. They wait until someone bids higher so they can get it.
- ebay automatically bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid. you just have to enter in a higher maximum bid than the person bidding against you.
- Yes there are some software which can outbid at the last second.
- When you put in your maximum bid it stores it until someone else bids, then, if your bid is still more than whatever they have bid you will still be the current highest bidder until somebody else bids over your maximum bid! Clear as mud ain't it!!!
- someone has put a maximum bid of a lot more than what you are offering. Each time someone makes a new bid, eBay automatically bids on that persons behalf up till the maximum offer. Until you can outbid their maximum offer you won't be the highest bidder.
- I believe you can set your account through ebay to bid for you to your maximum bid without other buyers knowing the amount you are prepared to pay. you should be able to find it by surfing your ebay account.
- On the right hand on your ebay screen there is something called bid assistant which will bid for an item on your behalf up to your maximum stated bid. If I am out-bid I usually wait until the last five mins and then bid my highest amount then leave it. Depends on how much you want the item!
- You can set up ebay in your account to automatically bid for you up to a certain amount. Alternatively, you can also mark the item to be watched and before the listing ends you can start bidding again.
- When you are bidding on Ebay, you can put the highest amount you want to bid in. That way, even if you aren't around, if someone bids lower than your highest, the system automatically checks your bid and raises it. You do not pay the highest amount you were willing to bid, only the amount that was actually bid in the auction. Ebay has plenty of information on this process.
- When you see something you want, bid on it in the last 7 seconds of the auction. I always won the item that way & the other bidder never saw it coming. You have to type fast though.
- what i would do is wait until the last 15 minutes, and put in a higher amount. Pretend that your not interested, and then get in there at the last second.
- You should try and bid close to the end of the auction. If you bid a while before it ends, you're encouraging the price to go even higher and obviously this person wants the purse as much as you so they will keep bidding after you do. If you bid at the last minute, they might not have the chance to bid after you. You should also put the highest price that you are willing to pay, that way, if someone only bids a little bit more they could still lose out because your bid is still higher. There is always a chance that you will lose an item by bidding at the last minute but I have been the highest bidder many times by doing it this way.
- it is called proxy bidding. The previous bidder put in a max amount so everytime someone bids it will raise their bid to the next increment. There are sniping websites out there so you don't have to sit there jacking up the prices. Do a google for Ebay sniping or somthing to that sort and you can have it set to snipe auctions at the last minute with the highest amount you are willing to pay..
- When you're bidding on an item, input the highest amount you're willing to pay. The bid will increase only by the smallest amount needed to make you the highest bidder. If someone comes along and makes a higher bid, your bid will increase *just* enough to beat them, up to your highest bid amount.
- When you bid... you're given the option to put in a maximum amount you would pay... for example I bid $1 and then I say the max I would pay is $5. So if you come around, you'll see the bid is at $1 and enter a bid of $2... but now, the first guy's bid is automatically changed to $2, because you bid $2. So if you bid more than his max bid, then you'll be the highest bidder... so if you bid $5.01 then your bid will be accepted.
- you can get sniper software that bids within seconds of the auction ending and it will let you know if you know what the current bid is .
- They are proxy bidding. They put in a maximum amount they are willing to pay. eg. If the item is currently £5, they put in there max bid, of say £10, this will increase the bid to £5.50, if you then put in a bid of £6, they proxy bid automatically puts in a bid of £6.50, and so on up untill there max of £10. Now if you bid £10.01, you will be high bidder, because there maximum they are willing to pay is £10. Hope this makes sense.
- Yes, it's called Auction Sniper. They rock...You give them a max bid, and they'll place a bid for you about 5 seconds before the auction ends. I've never lost an auction yet, that was withing my max bid. Here's their link: http://auctionsniper.com/ Go get-em...=)
- I always note the "end of bid" time and date and I never even place my 1st bid till the last minute of the sale ending, because the more you bid,the higher other bidders will go,so you're only raising the cost by bidding early.
- they're using sniping software. if you're new to ebay, make sure to read this guide: http://collegesoup.net/saving-money/10-essential-tips-for-success it'll explain how to win bids and get decent prices as well as what to watch out for in terms of scams
