desperate to win ebay but i think my rival has some software?

it says he's bidded like 20 times but it only pops up with the same amount as each bid... how could he override the existing bids again and again and use the same amount? he's the only one in the bid history. is his computer bidding with a program for him, and how can i beat him now? i want to win the auction and its finishing soon.

  1. let it go.....there are better things to do with your time....right?
  2. He could have made his own program. If you know C++ or BASIC, you could make one too. Thats just a guess though.
  3. you should give the web address so we can look at it. I don't see how he could be bidding lower than you and have the high bid. If you really suspect foul play, you should report it to ebay. They are all over those kinds of things, and will follow up on it.
  4. He is not bidding, that's eBay's proxy bidding system: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/proxy-bidding.html The other possibility is that you are bidding below the next bid increment. More info: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-increments.html You could try and outdo him with a sniping tool, but you will have to enter the *maximum* you are willing to pay as it will only bid once right at the end of the auction. I recommend the Gixen sniping system: http://www.gixen.com More info on sniping: http://www.auctionsoftwarereview.com/articles/FAQ-sniping.asp
