Buying software from Ebay and system req. ?

1. Is it "safe" to buy software from Ebay? I have never even bid on Ebay. I know to look at the sellers feedback though. 2. If the system requirements are as follows: Intel Pentium 233Mhz, Pentium III recommended, Memory 128 MB, 260 MB of available hard-disk space And my new computer will be: AMD Anthlon 64 x2 Dual Core 3800 CPU, 1G memory (I know the 128 is ok), and 160 GB Hard drive (I know the 260 MB is ok too) but will the processor not being a pentium be an issue? This is for Microsoft Office 2003 Standard Edition. Also...what are the different Office packages....like how is one better than the other? I use Word and Excel on a weekly basis for home daycare files and organizing tax information. Thank You!

  1. it will work
  2. Try some free programs before spending your money on the 2003 version of Windows http://www.freepims.com/id36.html If you do buy the Windows 2003 version you may want to check if Microsoft still supports Help & Updates to be on the safe side. P.S. Your choice of CPU (AMD) ROCKS !!
  3. I've bought software on eBay, and had no problems with it. I would recommend Open Office, it is fully compatible with MS Office, but it is a free download.
