I found a Compaq ARMADA M700 PII for $235 (Refurb.)Is it worth it ?
I have a $295 budget if I found this for 235 mabey i can squeeze a little better computer. - It *sounds* like a good deal, however Compaqs are notoriously unreliable and a 56k modem is deathly slow, and looking good doesn't mean there is actually a healthy OS in there.
- 500 mhz is slow..12 gig hd is small..battery sounds like its toast..so it wont come on..so this computer is junk...dont buy it..
- Personally it sounds like someone is out to find a sucker with a little money and even less knowledge. You made the right choice by asking first. Do not purchase that Pc. Ask the seller if Fred or Barney used it last. You will find something better. Save your Money. Besides, in that whole description it does not mention what parts are Refurbished.....Does that sound strange to anyone but me? Hope it helps.
